Go Vote You Lazy Pricks

If I know the three people that read this blog like I think I do, I'm sure that alot of you might consider voting if it is convenient for you.  By the way, it won't be convenient for you unless you don't work, or have a job where you aren't working at 2 in the afternoon.  I just drove by a polling place and 1) nearly got killed by some blue hair pulling out in front of me, 2) It was PACKED.  So you are going to wait in line.

But you know what?  It is your fucking duty.  I don't want to get all patriotic on your asses, and this (along with other select parts of the constitution, but not that fucking bullshit 4th amendment) is the only thing I will ever get patriotic about.  But you need to fucking vote at least once every four years.

You, like me, will probably never raise a gun to a member of al-Queida or an Afghan warlord.  Probably won't run for office yourself.  Voting is the one thing that most Americans can do. The very least you can show respect to the 80 year olds that are sitting at the folding tables at your local polling place with their magnifying glasses trying to find your name on the gigantic binder that has 1000 pages, with 1000 names on each page, written if 4 pt font, for 18 fucking hours with no breaks.  You might think your vote doesn't count, and in the actual count of things, it probably doesn't.  But it counts in the minds of the octogenarians who think enough of our right to vote to skip their daily game of sheepshead, and sit there with their brittle old fingers flipping through a 1000 page book one page at a time to look for your name.  So go vote, or get the fudge out. (Unless you are voting for McCain.  Then you are a moron and should just get the fudge out without voting.)

Wait wait, Paul has endorsed Chuck Baldwin and he's a Packer fan, full steam ahead on the Baldwin Express!

I am writing in Lil' Wayne, who is also a Packer fan.

Not a political genius, I just don't want my next president to be Tina Fey.

Anyone who gives someone who believes in creationism a shot at becoming the president, WHEN John McCain keels over from a heart attack, frightens me.

Oh and PS I'll stop now heh, no sense in ruffling feathers.

I wonder where that whole theory came from anyway? Was it the whole joe the plumber thing?

Not so much a theory...

Thanks for answering my question, just curious as to where and when you decided to accept it as a fact. I'm not pissed or saying OMG YOU ARE WRONG, just wanted to know.

Ok, universal healthcare. I believe that to be socializing our healthcare system. Raising taxes on wealthy and giving tax cuts to familys with no tax burden. That would be redistributing wealth. Saying that it is a tragedy that redstributing wealth not pursued by Supreme Court. Socialism may be a little harsh, but he will bring us closer to that than we have ever been. No more political arguments from me. We voted, we elected, now we make the best of what we have.

Re-establishing old tax rates from a decade ago wouldn't be socializing our economy, it would simply be putting the tax rates back to where it already existed before Bush came into office. He also wants to raise some taxes on small businesses, at the same time establishing a universal health care system, which while raising taxes would also reduce health insurance premiums, which would probably come close to negating the tax raise, especially for a small business, whom pay ridiculous huge premiums to keep their employees insured. I guarantee if you weren't working a type of "young employee with a company that has a good pay to value ratio" right now and were in danger of losing your job, you'd be really interested in universal health care for you, your spouse and your kids, just in case something happened to your job/health insurance.

I said I was done and I kept going, ok I'm really done now.

I also said I was done, but one last comment. Ask Canadian's how they like their universal healthcare. Ask how they like waiting 8 hours to get looked at. Ask how they like to wait a month to get treatment for cancer. Or you can just believe Michael Moore.
