That is just a working title by the way. We could go with "Knife Bowl", "Stabbing Bowl", "Throat Slash Bowl", "Acquittal Bowl". I'm willing to take suggestions.
Anyway, this started out as a comment, but this really deserves its own post. I think what is fascinating about this matchup is the true hatred/homosexual tension between these two. The only other rivalries in this league with more latent homosexual tension are any games involving Duper.
From someone who knows both owners, they are basically the same person. Both drank themselves out of school early, and later returned. Both are assholes. Both drink (smoke?) too much. Both enjoy video games and long walks on the beach. Both are bachelors who are living the dream in their mid to late 20s. Both live in shitty college towns (River Falls and Oshkosh). Both pretty much do whatever the fuck they want whenever they feel like it. Both are my personal heroes.
This rivalry began in 1998 or 1999, at a small to mid-sized high school in Northeast Wisconsin when Bear decided for no good reason to pour nacho cheese sauce all over my brother's hot lunch. This led to a series of threatening phone calls from my dad to Bear, demanding that $1.10 for the lunch ticket. At some point, I believe at my wedding, Bear gave the lunch ticket to my dad. Fun was had by all.
Then Bear had to go pick up Shaun Alexander off of waivers, after Twinkie dropped him (Alexander was a top 5 pick and not yet completely useless), and trade him to my brother, only to have Alexander fall off a cliff and die. This did not make my brother happy. Then, last year, Bear traded my brother Tom Brady 45 seconds before he blew out his knee. And to rub it in his face, after my brother panicked and cut Brady, Bear picked him up, kept him, and he won his 2nd MVP in 3 years. So there is history.
Vegas has put Clown Baby as a 2 point favorite. 265 o/u.
I guess I hope my brother wins, because if he dies, in some sort of weird "I'm my own grandpa" circumstance, I could inherit that $250.

The whole Hardy thing
I think he's kind of being a bitch about the whole thing, like people are saying, when a player makes a move like the Brewers did, securing their financial future, doing what's best for themselves(in this case the whole team) then people look at it and say, well that's just a smart business move. When an organization does it, people look down on it like they are some sort of evil conglomerate trying to fuck everyone in the ass while they greedily steal money from anyone and everyone who steps into their path. As Juice added too, it's not like he's put himself in a position to not have this happen to him. Then he has the balls to say something like 'At first I felt OK. It would give me a chance to relax," said Hardy, who avoided arbitration this season by signing a one-year, $4.65 million deal in the winter. "But that's when my agent told me about the 20 days."'. Oh so you're willing to admit you're playing like shit, but it's ok because you have a different excuse now for why they sent you down?
I like Hardy, he's a good shortstop and the last two years he'd actually been hitting well, this year will probably not be indicative of the type of hitter he actually is, but business is business my friend and I hope we get a really good pitcher for you. That being said, I don't really like the way everyone pretty much knows now that we are locked into trading him this winter. Doesn't it seem like that would lower the asking price? Unless we get lucky and 2 or 3 teams start clamoring over him, if one team knows we want to move him, why wouldn't they just low ball us and say fuck you, play next year with 2 shortstops. I am slightly concerned...

This just in
Jay Cutler is reportedly a Chicago! Bear
So two first round draft picks, this year and next's, swapping the Bears 3rd for the Broncos 5th and then the real kicker, the Broncos get Kyle Orton? I think the Broncos swept the rug out from under the Bears here, this is of course just my early speculation.
The Bears were probably the best team, of the three other NFC North teams, to get Cutler. Orton was an ok QB last year versus abysmal QBing from the Lions and Queens. It will be interesting to see if Cutler actually drastically or just mildly improves the Bears next year.
